Passover Supper

It has become a tradition at St. Thomas’ to celebrate a Passover Supper on the evening of Maundy Thursday.

Tables are arranged around a central table on which are placed the seder plate containing the traditional symbols of Passover and candles.

Traditions such as dipping celery into salt water and eating a mixture of sweet and bitter herbs are observed along with the breaking of bread and sharing of cups of wine.

The Exodus story of the first Passover is told and a casserole of lamb or chicken is eaten with rice or couscous

This has proved to be a very moving ceremony that we would like to continue with your support.

Please join us.  Could you help with preparations on the day?

If you would like to attend there is a list at the back of St. Thomas’s Church or email Carole.
