Mondays from 9:15 -10:45 meet in St Thomas, play chat, pray and support.
18th April @ 11.15 Cello Concert with Coffee & Cake at St Thomas' Church
Join us at St Thomas' Church for a cello concert on Saturday for approximately an hour. Come and hear talented young South African cellist, Seth Nel, playing favourite classics for cello including music by Elgar, Bach, Beethoven and Piazzolla accompanied by Margaret on piano. Coffee and cake will be available before the concert, from 10.30 for early birds, as well as afterwards. No need to book, donations welcome, just join us with friends and family for a relaxing interlude on a busy Saturday morning.
Broad Horizons Book Group: -
Our informal book discussion group, resumes in April (April 28th) and will meet monthly on Tuesday evenings (7-8:30pm) throughout the summer. All welcome to any or all of the sessions. Dress warmly, as we meet on the benches outside St Martha’s, to enjoy the view, a hot drink and the setting sun.
APCM: -
The APCM will be held on the 21st May at 7:30 in St Thomas Church. Please put this in your diaries as it is an important annual meeting.
ANZAC Day 4pm April 25th: -
April 25th is ANZAC day and we hold an official act of Remembrance at the grave of Lieutenant-General Bernard Freyberg. We have members of both Australian and New Zealand military present to lay wreaths as well as a senior member of the New Zealand High Commission. This is an important service, and if you can, why not join us.
HORSEMAN’s SERVICE 2pm April 26th: -
Last year we welcomed over 30 horses and ponies for the short service with anointing of oil onto any horse or pony that wants it, again why not join us for this annual service outside St Martha’s church.
ARTHUR’s Birthday Glass of fizz and cake: -
Join us after the service @ 10.30 @ St Thomas' to raise a glass to Arthur in celebration of his impending 90th birthday.
